Dividing by 25 into a fraction/decimal:

A.  Dividing by 25 into a decimal or a percent is easy since:

n  4n

25    100

B.  Therefore, we can multiply by 4 and divide by 100.

Ex [1]  7/25 = __________(decimal).

a.  Multiply: 7 x 4 = 28.

b.  28 / 100 = .28.

c.  The answer is .28.

Ex [2]  23/25 = __________(percent).

a.  23 x 4 = 92.

b.  92 / 100 = .92.

c.  As a percent, .92 is 92%.

d.  The answer is 92.

C.  Notice, as in Ex [2], that when changing to a percent, you only need to multiply by 4.
